Summaries of A Few Pages |

A "lighter-side" explanation of how such a Powerful --in the opinion of those who use it--Management Tool can remain a relatively unknown commodity in U.S. Agriculture, in the World, is presented at this page.
The Whole Story is also available, but can you handle the Truth?
Under consideration for 1997, Congress has composed a Bill intended to advance Agriculture through assisting in the Field of "Precision Agriculture". Unfortunately, the intent is for Agriculture funds to first flow through the hands of those known to be heavy feeders, the U.S. Department of Energy (DoE), and the large Defense contractor Lockheed Martin, DoE's contractor of its Energy and "Environment" Lab. Due to years of under-funding, Agriculture's public sector has not directly contributed to the Precision products currently on the market today. This fact has been used to promote the need --for these outsiders to be funded--, not the need to provide more funds to Agriculture's public sector directly.
A page of real paying customers, with their real, on-farm experiences and the towns and states where you can contact them. It even includes their unusual experiences in conducting pre-purchase research on the Soil Doctor® System.
A Table of current, INDEPENDENT,1996 Customer and Seed Company-Conducted/Recorded Economic Performance Tests.
CTI's in-writing, economic guarantee. Many make verbal promises to producers in the fall. Make THEM put those promises in writing (like CTI does), before you buy-in and invest in their products or services. CTI's foot-to-foot, responsive delivery, along with its patented sensor system, makes CTI's unique guarantee of economic benefits possible.
A page with maps of VariPlant® Controlled plant population (a 3-D map and a flat map) and a CEC mapped survey. Pending the permission of customers (THEY OWN the data, not CTI) , it is a page still in progress.
If you are a grower, you know that plants aren't like livestock. They can't just pick up their skirt of roots, walk over ten feet, and eat where the nutrients are. This is why foot-to-foot soil variability is more important to the destiny of your crop --its yield production-- than is the acre-to-acre soil variability typically addressed by Grid Sampling. See for yourself the difference.
Out of six series of the same test, on six different farms, each using 27 different hybrids at each test site; only the Soil Doctor® Applicator-treated test series produced a dependable yield increase with the population increase.
A page with material which answers the question: "How CAN the Soil Doctor (CTI) accurately examine soils, when sampling through conventional means is so difficult?" Charts and graphs are presented. Data source include the University of Vermont and an international chemical company.

If you believe (and Prefer to Believe) that
EVERY Conference Speech or Paper, EVERY Magazine article, and EVERY Rumor
Always Reflect the Representations of Only Accurate, Honest, and Ethical
Researchers,
Don't Read Any of the Following Summaries or Their "Pages".
If, however, you Sincerely want to know --to Understand--
WHY the Only Company in the World, in Precision Agriculture:
1) with On-the-Go Soil Sensors,
2) with applicators which integrate those sensors into their Real-Time,
foot-to-foot Variable Rate Technology decisions,
3) with grower and university, USDA, and seed company researcher corroboration
that the technology reliably Increases Grower's Net Profit, and
4) with a Money-back Performance Guarantee that stands behind that
benefit -------
is NEVER invited to Speak to or to Present
Papers at
Precision Agriculture Conferences with
Programs specifically about "On-the-Go Soil Sensors" or VR technologies
and WHY others who publicly offer no comparable technology
are always invited instead----
then READ the web pages described below. Afterwards ask yourself: "Is
the Millennium really around the corner? Or are we stuck in the dark ages,
where Irrationality and Gossip reign supreme?"
Contains a few examples of Guidelines applied by Real Scientists, whether they cognitively set out to follow them or not. The page's primary purpose, however, is to put a spotlight on the amazing body of poor, unscientific practices --so often accepted as Good, Sound, and Fact-Revealing, Scientific Opinions and on the underlying Political Conditions which make the current atmosphere Ripe for such Questionable Practices. The page has been provided only because producers may be using such biased findings --unwittingly and to their detriment-- as a basis upon which to make their Precision Agriculture Investments. Most people think such deception is wrong.
January 3, 1997, CTI announced a policy of Zero-Tolerance
of the perpetrators of false gossip and rumors (slanderers) against
Soil Doctor® technology; CTI customers; and against the university,
government, and seed company researchers who have independently validated
Soil Doctor® technology.
Zero-Tolerance includes prosecuting PUBLIC SERVANTS (Competing soil sensor
Developers) who feign "objectivity" and publicly assert "It
doesn't work", while their close-colleagues refuse to release Federal
Water Quality Data which Proves that CTI technology Efficiently Manages
Nitrogen Fertilizer. CTI hopes that 1997 will bring an era to Precision
Agriculture that is void of such deceit, brimming only with the highest
of ETHICAL SCIENTIFIC CONDUCT.
Internet response to the negative (both e-mailed and posted) responses to "Zero Tolerance", to those who read "facts" into "Zero Tolerance" which just weren't there. A discussion of the amazing gall and power of the "Spin-Masters of Ag" is also provided.
The extent of misleading Rumors and Gossip about Soil Doctor®
technology is remarkably long. The Rumors, along with the verifiable Truth,
are available at this page for those who would like to have fiction sifted
from fact. The reader is encouraged to verify the facts and encouraged to
expose the liars.
Even the reasonable-sounding rumor, "If the CTI technology really
worked, then Everybody would Already own one", is addressed.
A large body of shockingly unfair, scientifically irresponsible, so-called "definitive" tests of Soil Doctor® technology have been conducted. Amazingly, these indefensible tests were conducted by many of those in Agriculture who are typically invited to present papers or presentations to prestigious Precision Agriculture Conferences, particularly those programs on On-the-Go Soil Sensing and Variable Rate Technology. CTI is referring specifically to those to which CTI technology and the independent university and government researchers that have validated it are almost always EXCLUDED. Although gossiped about widely --forming the basis of many false rumors about CTI technology--, CTI is the only source that openly describes these remarkably unscientific tests, tests which --amazingly-- have NOTHING to do with the purpose for which CTI sells the Soil Doctor® System: Efficiently Managing Ag-Inputs (i.e., Fertilizer usage and Yield results).
If the reader has spent any time reading "Venture",
"Entrepreneur", or any other magazine about investment and inventors,
this page will be reminiscent of all the No-Win stories. But that's the
way it happens in U.S. Agriculture. Self-Proclaimed "Experts",
site-unseen, proclaim innovative, customer-endorsed technologies to be "well
below Their Standard" (the height of unscientific, irresponsible conduct).
The larger entities then take that strategic "ball" and run with
it. As a result, the typical buy-out deals in Agriculture are not as fair
as they should be, even for the most innovative, most beneficial of these
technologies. To make things worse,
the most vociferous of the U.S. government offices and university departments
DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE the EXISTENCE (and efficacy) of such technologies
UNTIL AFTER the large entities jump into the market, with a not-that-different
version, making for a far less than "Free" Enterprise arena.
It is easy to understand why the large companies would glom-on to unsubstantiated
opinions --It is to their negotiation advantage. It is more difficult, however,
to understand why others in Ag so-willingly follow suit, destabilizing what
Should Otherwise be a Free Market/Free Enterprise System in U.S. Agriculture,
as it is in other U.S. industries. But it is most distressing that Growers'
Economic Needs and Growers' Desires to Actively Protect their Environment/OUR
ENVIRONMENT are not important enough to merit a moratorium on
smear campaigns and other unethical practices.
Considered "vitriolic" only by those who recognize themselves,
it has its humorous moment.
Society has specific needs from all of the professionals of Agriculture. See if your opinions agree or conflict with ours.
A brief discussion on what Agriculture appears to have
contributed to the problem and, accordingly, how Agriculture can contribute
to its solution. Map, Chart, and census data courtesy of "Effects
of Episodic Events on the Transport of Nutrients to the Gulf of Mexico"
by U.S.Geological Survey scientists D.A. Goolsby and W. A. Battaglin.
